Starting your insurance career begins with pre-licensing education and passing your state exam. Big I Mississippi is here to guide you through the process and set you up for success from day one.
We offer Property & Casualty pre-licensing classes four times a year at our office in Flowood. This three-day, state-approved course meets Mississippi licensing requirements and is led by experienced instructors who are there to answer your questions and help you feel confident going into your exam.

Requirements for an insurance license.
Before taking your exam, you must complete a state-approved pre-licensing course.
✔ Big I Mississippi offers a 3-day, in-person course that meets all state requirements.
After completing your course, you must pass the state licensing exam. Exams are administered through Pearson VUE, and registration is required. To find a testing location and schedule your exam based on your ZIP code, please visit the link below.
Important Note: You must make a 70 on the exam to pass.
Once you pass your exam, you must apply for your license through the Mississippi Insurance Department.
